EVAN D. CARL SUCCUMBS
SERVICE HERE THURSDAY

Funeral services will be held this afternoon, Thursday, at 2:00 p.m. in the Methodist church for Evan D. Carl, of Fairborn, Ohio, who passed away Sunday, July 17, following a brief illness, at the home of his son Wilbur, in Fairborn, Ohio. Rev. David R. Finley, pastor of the church, will officiate at the services.

Evan D. Carl was born near Lone Tree November 21, 1877, the son of Frederick T. and Emoline Soper Carl. He passed away at the age of 77 years, 7 months and 26 days. On June 10, 1903, in Lone Tree, he was married to Helen Huskins Carl, who preceded him in death on July 1, 1952. Mr. Carl, who was a retired merchant at the time of his death, was in business in Lone Tree for more than forty years.

He was a member of the Lone Tree Methodist church and of Abner Lodge No. 535.

Surviving relatives include his son, Wilbur, and one grandson, Eugene Carl, of Fairborn, Ohio. One half-sister, Meriam Lombard of Marion, Iowa, also survives.

Interment will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery with Sordon and Adams in charge of arrangements.
