Jeanette M. Lichty Ockenfels, 89, formerly of 320 S. Dubuque St., died Sunday, July 7, 1996, in a Mesa, Ariz., care center following a long illness. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday, St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Iowa City, by the Rev. James Vrba. Burial: St. Michael's Cemetery, Norway. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lensing Funeral Home, Iowa City, where a vigil service begins at 7 p.m.

Survivors include five daughters, Joanne Brownlie and Bernadette Carratura, both of Prescott, Ariz., Jeannette and Mary Ockenfels, both of Iowa City, and Rosalind Strabala of Arvada, Colo.; and three sons, Lawrence of Phoenix, Leo of Tempe, Ariz., and James of Crystal Lake, Ill.
