Lorraine E. Bogs, 77, of 730 S. Lucas St., died Friday, March 31, 2000, at Mercy Hospital after a long illness.

Services will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at The George L. Gay Funeral Home and Crematorium with the Rev. Robert Hamel officiating. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Mercy Hospital Stroke Club.

Mrs. Bogs was born Aug. 6, 1922, in Iowa City, to Jeffery and Bertha (Alberhasky) Westfall. She attended schools in Hills and Iowa City. She was a homemaker and a lifetime Johnson County resident. She married Albert P. Bogs on Feb. 14, 1946, in Iowa City.

Survivors include a daughter, Sherri Bogs of Iowa City two sons, Tim and his wife, Mary Bogs, of Indianola, Mike Bogs of Iowa City a brother, Charles Cox of Lacey, Wash. seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Her parents her husband two sons, Terry and Steve Bogs and two brothers, Floyd R. and Jeffery Westfall, died earlier.
