Glenna Marie Dahnke, age 73, of 601 7th Street, Coralville died Thursday, December 26, 2002 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City following an extended illness. In honor of Glenna’s request, no services are planned, her earthly remains have been cremated. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service of Iowa City is caring for Glenna’s family and her arrangements.

She was born December 6, 1929, in rural Johnson County, the daughter of Amos and Edith (Alberhasky) Reynolds. She married Dwayne “Doc” Dahnke December 30, 1949, in Iowa City. She has lived her entire life in this area. For a number of years she worked in food service for Iowa City Community Schools at Coralville Central Elementary School.

Her family includes her husband, “Doc”; son: Gary Dahnke of Coralville, grandson: Scott Dahnke of Tiffin, and her brother, Richard Reynolds of California.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Lucille Brogan, Loretta Oaks, and Edna Ellis; brothers, John, Bob, and Lewis Reynolds.
