June R. Lillie, age 91 of 1020 South Scott Blvd., Iowa City died Thursday, December 26, 2002 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City following a short illness.
No funeral services are planned. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service of Iowa City is caring for June’s family and her arrangements.
She was born June 6, 1911, in Denver, Colorado the daughter of Herbert J. and Barbara J. (Fisher) Rosen. For many years, she lived in Chicago, Illinois where she worked for Amsted Industries, and the Chicago Historical Society. She married C. Robert Lillie in August of 1969 in Chicago. The couple moved to Hendersonville, North Carolina nearly twenty-five years ago where they have lived until moving to Iowa City this November.
Her family includes her husband, C. Robert Lillie; son and his wife, Brian G. Lillie and Sanna Czuy of Litchfield, CT; daughters, Robin M. Lillie and her husband, Daniel Mascal of Iowa City, and Marilyn L. MacBride of Eden Prairie, MN; six grandchildren, Megan Lillie, Brendan Lillie, Jack Isleib, Kate Mascal, Ian Mascal, and Laurel Wyatt; sister, Elaine Cusmano of Hendersonville, NC; daughter-in-law: Linda Lillie of Woodbury, CT., two nieces, Diane Wood and Susan Emerick; and one nephew, Scott Cusmano.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Roger Rosen, and a nephew, Herbert Rosen.
