SOLON - Ray W. Umbdenstock, 75, of Solon died Tuesday at an Iowa City hospital after a long illness.

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Brosh Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church in Solon with the Rev. J.J. Fath officiating. The rosary will be at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the church cemetery with the Stinocher American Legion Post conducting military services. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday.

Mr. Umbdenstock was born Oct. 15, 1893, in Solon. He married Mildred Woerdehoof on Oct. 17, 1935. He was owner of Solon Plumbing, Heating and lighting Service and was a member of World War I Veterans of Iowa City and Stinocher American Legion Post.

Surviving are his widow and a brother, Joseph of Solon. ***
