Billy Ray White, 68, of 423 Douglas Court, Iowa City died Saturday, October 19, 2002 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.
Graveside services will be 1:00PM Tuesday at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Iowa City, Iowa, with Rev. Richard White officiating.
Billy was born August 9, 1934, in West Liberty, Iowa, the son of Don and Nellie (Linville) White. Billy served in the Army. He attended Kirkwood Community College. He owned his own business in maintenance and repairs. On May 23, 1987, he was united in marriage to Cheryl King.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl White of Iowa City, Iowa; three brothers, Elbert “Ace and his wife Maxine of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, Rev. Richard White and his wife Loretta of Winfield, Iowa, and Robert White of Hot Springs, Arkansas; two sisters, Phyllis Ramsey and her husband John of Keota, Iowa, and Judy White of Mitchellville, Iowa; one step brother, Jim White and his wife Dee of Hammond, Indiana; and three daughters, Kay and Kim of Georgia and Tommi of California.
His parents, two sons, Tim and Billy, one brother, Reuben, and one sister, Tona, preceded him in death.
