Mary K. Lubaroff, 91, formerly of 1799 5th Street, Coralville died Saturday, October 5, 2002, at Greenwood Manor Care Center of complications from Alzheimer's Disease.

Services will be held Monday, October 7, 2002, at 9:30 AM at Agudas Achim with Rabbi Jeff Portman officiating. Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2002, at 12PM at Hillside Memorial Park Cemetery in Los Angeles. Shiva will be observed at the home of Phyllis and Eli Isenberg. Memorials may be directed to the Mel Marcus Scholarship Fund at Agudas Achim of Iowa City or the Alzheimers Association. Arrangements are with Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service

Mrs. Lubaroff was born June 6, 1911, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Samuel and Fannie Hiken Kahn. She married Albert Lubaroff on March 31, 1935, in Philadelphia.

She was employed in the credit department at Gimbel’s Department Store for many years. From 1972-88, she resided in Los Angeles. In 1988, she moved to Iowa City.

Mary was very involved in caring for her family.

She is survived by her son, David Lubaroff and his wife Martha of Iowa City; two daughters, Phyllis Isenberg and her husband Eli of Los Angeles and Rhona Fox and her husband Art of Irvine, California; five grandchildren, Saul Lubaroff of Iowa City, Iowa, Scott Lubaroff and his wife, Mary of Manhattan, Kansas, Matthew Lubaroff and his wife Nicole Finke of Rochester, Minnesota, Ronald Bryman and his wife Andrea, and Amy Bryman and her husband Dov Tamler, both of Los Angeles; and eight great grandchildren, Zane, Andrew, Will, Sarah, Abigail, Jonathan, Daniel and Charlotte.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1980, her parents, her stepmother Gittle Gold Kahn, two brothers, Charles and Tommy, one sister, Betty Kahn, and one grandson, Steven Bryman.
