Domenicha “Skippy” Spero, 80 of 122 S. 7th Ave. died Friday, October 11, 2002 after short illness.

Funeral services will be Tuesday 10:00am at Lensing Funeral and Cremation with the Rev. mark Martin officiating. Friends may call on Monday from 3:00 to 7:00pm at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service 605 Kirkwood, Iowa City.
Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Blairstown, Iowa. Memorials may be made to St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, Iowa City, Iowa.

Domenicha was born August 7, 1922 the daughter of James and Josephine (Lunati) Spero in New York, New York. Skippy graduated from Bay Ridge High School in Brooklyn, New York. Before moving to Iowa City Domenicha worked as a Lab Technician. She was a long time resident of Iowa City where she worked at the Blood Bank as a Technician. She was a member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by two brothers, Maurice Spero of Lincoln Park, New Jersey, John Spero of Brooklyn, New York and by two sisters, Rose Spero of Brooklyn, New York, Marie Guistino of Somerset, New Jersey. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and by a long time friend, Faye M. Kubichek of Iowa City, Iowa

Her parents, four brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.
