Grace E. Lane age 96 of Davenport and formerly of Iowa City died of natural causes on Thursday, April 11, 2002 at the Fejervary Health Care Center in Davenport. Funeral Services will be on Saturday, April 13, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at the Gay and Ciha Funeral Service in Iowa City with the Reverend George Mullen officiating, burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Iowa City. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be given in Grace’s name to the Assembly of God Church in Iowa City.

Grace was born on May, 21, 1905 in New Castle, Pennsylvania the daughter of James and Rhoda Bannon Wallace. She attended New Castle Schools and married Talbot F. Lane on February 13, 1942 in Hobart, Indiana. After her husband death in 1950 she moved to Iowa City and worked as a chef for area nursing homes and fraternities until she retired in 1973. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church and lived in Iowa City until she moved to Davenport in 1998.

Her family includes two sons Paul of Bettendorf; Dave and wife Pam of Davenport; two daughters Mary Lane of Iowa City and Ruth Lane of Branson, Missouri; two granddaughters; one grandson and one great grandson.

Her parents, husband and one sister Naomi preceded her in death.
