Ronald R. LeClere, age 52 of rural Tiffin, died Monday, May 27, 2002 at his home following an extended illness.

Funeral services wil be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 2002 at the Grace Community Church in rural North Liberty, with the Reverend Paul Bult officiating. Burial at the Ridgewood Cemetery in North Liberty. Visitation will be from 4 to 7pm Friday at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Ron’s name to the American Cancer Society. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service are caring for Ron’s family and his services.

Ron was born March 10, 1950 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa the son of Robert LeClere Sr. and Jeanette Zier LeClere. He has been in business in the Iowa City/North Liberty for nearly twenty-five years, owning and operating Ron LeClere Sodding and Grading Company in North Liberty. Ron was a member of the Greater Iowa City Area Home Builders Association and the Turf Producers Association. His many friends and family remember Ron as a generous man in giving of his time and gifts to this community.

His family includes a son, Ronald Gregory LeClere of Denver, Colorado; daughter, Stephanie Kay LeClere of North Liberty; his parents, Robert and Jeanette LeClere of Solon; Brothers, Robert LeClere Jr. and his wife, Lilo of Ely; and Harold LeClere of Florida; sisters, Linda Johnson of Swisher, Theresa LeClere of Cedar Rapids, and Sharon LeClere of Van Horne; and numerous nieces and nephews.
