Dorothy E. Lee, age 86 of Iowa City, formerly of Reno, NV, died Thursday, March 28, 2002 at the Oaknoll Retirement Residence in Iowa City following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 2, 2002 at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City Burial will be at the Oakland Cemetery in Iowa City. Visitation will be from 4:30 to 7pm Monday at the funeral home in Iowa City. Memorial donations can be made to the University of Iowa Foundation or University of Nevada (Reno) Foundation

Dorothy was born July 8, 1915 in Calamus, Iowa the daughter of Hans and Lona (Anderson) Johnson. She graduated from Calamus High School and attended the State University of Iowa for a number of years. On April 18, 1942 she married Robert S. Lee. The couple resided in Iowa City until October of 1966 when they moved to Reno, NV. They lived here until July of 1971 at which time they moved to Ft. Collins, Colorado. In January of 1990 they returned to Iowa City. Here she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, P.E.O., and T.T.T..

Her family includes her husband of nearly sixty years, Robert; a son and his wife, David lee and Connie Lee of Mission Viejo, CA.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, and ten brothers and sisters.
