James “Jim” R. Rotter age 53 of Lantern Park Nursing Home in Coralville and formerly of Oxford died on Tuesday, July 22, 2002 after a sudden illness, at Lantern Park in Coralville. Memorial Services will be on Saturday, July 27, 2002 at 11:00 am at the Oxford United Methodist Church in Oxford, burial will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to the James Rotter memorial fund. The Gay and Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service are caring for Jim and his family.

Jim was born on May 30, 1949 in Iowa City the son of Lavern and Betty Justice Rotter. He attended school at Highland in Riverside and worked as a cook in the Iowa City area. Jim enjoyed bowling, playing euchre and watching the Iowa Hawkeyes.

His family includes four brothers: Steve and wife, Bernadette of New London, Mike and Rick of Oxford and Randy and wife, Diane of North Liberty, two nephews: Chad and Lucas Rotter and one niece: Anthea Rotter.

His parents preceded him in death.
