Delores M. Ryan, age 62 of rural Tiffin, died Tuesday, December 18, 2001 at her home of cancer. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 22, 2001 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Riverside with the Reverend Richard Adams officiating. Burial at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Riverside. Visitation will be from 5 to 8pm Friday at the Gay & Ciha Funeral & Cremation Service in Iowa City. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Iowa City Hospice.

Delores was born May 9, 1939 in Riverside, Iowa the daughter of Verne U. and Irene A. (Fisher) Droll. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Riverside in 1956. On August 9, 1959 she married Larry Ryan at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Riverside. She and her husband, Larry owned and operated Ryan’s Kennels, Clear Creek Angus, Ryan’s Quality Painting, and the animal shelters in both Tiffin and Oxford.

She enjoyed Bridge Clubs, gardening, her dogs, and loving her family, especially her grandchildren.

Her family includes her husband, Larry; three sons, Terry Ryan of Tiffin and his special friend, Barb Wyatt of Cedar Rapids, Michael Ryan and his wife, Lisa of Houston, TX, and Dennis Ryan and his wife, Jennifer of Columbus, OH; six grandchildren, Kimberly, Kevin, Rebecca, Jason, Nick and Brandon; and Nick and Brandon’s mother, JoAnn Ryan of North Liberty; brother and his wife, Richard and Laurie Droll of Iowa City; three sisters and their husbands, Rita Marie and William
Moller of Ladora, Vernita and Elmer Schneider of Riverside, and Virginia and William Schlapkohl of Lone Tree.

Her parents, and a sister, JoAnn Kleese preceded her in death.
