Doris Jane Stuck, age 85 of 1301 Muscatine Avenue, Iowa City was found in her home Saturday, February 23, 2002 having died following a sudden illness.

Funeral services will be held at 11am Saturday, March 2, 2002 at Gay & Ciha Funeral & Cremation Service in Iowa City with the Reverend David Johnson of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Iowa City. There will be no visitation at the funeral home prior to services.

Miss. Stuck was born July 17, 1916 in Burlington, Iowa the daughter of Horace W. and Irma F. (Ihrer) Stuck. She attended schools in Cedar Rapids and Iowa City, graduated from the University of Iowa with a business degree in 1938. For many years she worked as a secretary for the head librarian at the University of Iowa Library, retiring in 1938.
Doris was engaged to be married to Pops Harrison before his death. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Iowa City, a volunteer at the Herbert Hoover Library in West Branch, and enjoyed travelling with friends and family.

Her family includes a first cousin, Shirley Polson and her family, and other distant relatives.
