James “Jim” Muller, 55, died Sunday, January 28th, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11am Thursday, February 1st, 2007 at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, 605 Kirkwood Avenue, Iowa City. A reception will be held at the Eagles Club on HWY 1 in Iowa City following the memorial service. Memorial contributions may be made to Amenity Hospice, The American Cancer Society or The Eagle’s Club.

Jim was born on August 31st, 1951 in Iowa City, IA, the son of Leroy and LaVera (Duffy) Muller. He grew up in Riverside and graduated from Highland High School in 1969. Jim later received his welding certification from Kirkwood Community College in 1970 and was a Master Plumber since the mid 70’s.

Jim enjoyed golfing, motorcycles, fishing, mushroom hunting, his ’55 Chevy and crafting metal sculptures for his family and friends. He also loved spending time with his family, friends and his dog Piper.

He is survived by his special friend Nicki Markovetz of Iowa City, one daughter Amber (Jeffrey) Capps, Memphis, TN, two brothers Joe (Laura) Muller of Austin, TX and Donald (Cathy) Muller of Woodland Hills, CA, two sisters Dianne (Richard) Nelson of Kalona, IA and Julie (Bud) Maas of Iowa City, IA and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and great nephews.
