Pearl Marie Lalla, 95, died Friday January 26, 2007 at University of Iowa Hospital following at short illness.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday January 31st at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Iowa City with Reverend Michael Phillips officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery . Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7 P.M. at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service, 605 Kirkwood Ave , Iowa City where a rosary will be said at 6:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Regina Foundation in Pearl ’s name.

Pearl was born on July 5th, 1911 in Aurora , IA to Francis and Cora Pratt Riche. She married Vincent Lalla in September of 1934. Ran Lalla’s Guest Rooms @ 908 Newton Rd for 20 years.

Pearl is survived by two sons; John of Cedar Rapids and Joseph (Sue) of Raeford, NC, a daughter-in-law Mary “Pat” of Iowa City, six grandchildren; Caroline Lalla of Raeford, NC, Miranda Lalla of Cedar Rapids, Joe Lalla (Vicki), Jim Lalla, Jon Lalla, Jason Lalla all of Iowa City, six great-grandchildren; Vincent, Katie, Tommy, Gregory, Patrick, Ruben and Brandon.

Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son Vincent, four sisters; Ava McFee, Anna Snodgrass, Della Garland, and Margie, a brother Raymond and a granddaughter Anne Lalla.
