Ruth L. Buckman, age 56 of 215 Amhurst, Iowa City died Friday, March 29, 2002 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City following an extended illness.

A gathering time for family and friends will be from 5 to 8pm today at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 3, 2002 at the Deal Robbins-Vangilder Funeral Home in Huntington, IN. Visitation will be from 4 to 8pm Tuesday there at the funeral home. She was born January 4, 1946 in Huntington, IN the daughter of Benjamin andLaVerna Cunningham. She married Kenneth Snow II in Huntington in 1970. He died in 1981. On June 29, 1985 she married Stephen Buckman. She took care of her family at home and was a strong member of the Salvation Army, doing much volunteer work for them.

Her family includes her husband, Stephen of Iowa City; children, Mistina (Snow) Buckman and her husband, Christopher of North Liberty, ans Kenneth Snow III and his wife, Penny of Iowa City; step-children, Christopher Buckman and his wife, Mistina (Snow) of North Liberty and Jonathan Buckman and his wife, Casey of Chariton, Iowa; eight grandchildren; two sistes, Geraldine Snow and Esther Karst both of Huntington, IN

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, brother and her first husband
