Reggie R. Cihla 37 of Iowa City, formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away on October 31, 2006, in his parents’ home after a courageous 9-year battle with cancer.

As he wished, he was cremated and Lensing Funeral Home in Iowa City is handling the arrangements. A Memorial Service will be held at Lensing Funeral Home, 605 Kirkwood Ave, Iowa City, on Saturday November 4, at 4:30 P.M., with burial at a later date. Family and friends may gather at 3:30 at the funeral home on Saturday.

Reggie is survived by his parents, Rocky & Stefanie Cihla of Cedar Rapids and Cathy Luedeman of Cedar Rapids, Grandmother, Mary Lou Fairlie of Swisher and Step-Grandmother, Leota Cihla of Mt. Vernon and numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins and his dog, Diesel. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Jean and Joe Cihla and Austin Fairlie.

Reggie was born on October 21, 1969, in Cedar Rapids and moved to Iowa City in 1990, where he was a hair stylist for Twin Image. During his 16 years at Twin Image Reggie developed many special relationships with his friends, co-workers & clients who became extended family.

Reggie requested no flowers but memorials to Hospice of Iowa City, Iowa I-Care and the American Cancer Society are welcome.
