Maxine M. (Teefy) TenEick, 87, of Davenport, and formerly of Iowa City, died at Genesis West in Davenport, Tuesday, August 29, 2006 following a brief illness.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, September 4, 2006 at 10:30am at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church with Rev. David Wilkening officiating. Burial will be at North Scott Township Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 3 to 6pm at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service, 605 Kirkwood Avenue, Iowa City. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established to be distributed among her favorite charities.

Maxine was born April 6, 1919 in Iowa City, the daughter John and Anna Miller Teefy.
She was a graduate of City High School and in January, 1950 she married William
TenEick in LeGrange, Missouri.

Maxine had been employed as a telephone operator by ATT in Iowa City and Davenport
for many years. In 1950 she moved to Iowa City to Davenport.

She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

Maxine is survived by her daughter, Cynthia TenEyck and her husband Ron Boose of Rochester, MN.; two grandchildren, Noah and Adrienne Boose and Adrienne’s fiancé, Wes Vevera, all of Iowa City; her sister, Caroline Hoag of Tucson, AZ.; and two brothers, Dick Teefy of Poulsbo, WA. and Don Teefy of Minneapolis, MN.

Maxine was preceded in death by her husband.
