Deaths
Mrs. Mezik Dies;
Funeral Monday

Mrs. Mary Mezik, 94, of 726 North Van Buren street, died at Mercy hospital at 10:20 p.m. Friday following a long illness. She had made her home with a daughter, Mrs. C. C. Ries for the past six years.
Born in Iowa City January 6, 1866, she was a daughter of Martin and Anna Wonick. She was married to Frank Mezik, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Mezik was a member of St. Mary's church.
Surviving in addition to Mrs Ries is another daughter, Mrs. N. V. Engler, of Cedar Rapids. Also preceding her in death were a son and a daughter.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's church with burial to be in Oakland cemetery. The rosary will be at 4:45 p.m. Sunday at the Donohue mortuary.
