David R. Fisher, 65 of Davenport, died Friday, June 16, 2006 at his home after a brief illness.

The family will greet friends on Wednesday, June 21, 2006 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Lensing Funeral Service-605 Kirkwood Ave, Iowa City. Burial will take place at a later date.

David was born February 13, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois the son of Russell Fisher and Genieve Stich. He worked as a printer for the University of Iowa, Economy Advertising, Quad Cities Times and Bell Publishing. Dave was a member of the craftsman Club. He was an avid woodsman and very proud that he heated his entire home with the wood he spilt. He will be greatly missed by his many friends.

Dave is survived by his mother, Genieve of St. Cloud, MN; by his two daughters, Audrey Twing and her husband Jeff and their daughter Nicole all of Mt. Vernon, IA, and by Darcy Fisher and her son Zack both of Cedar Rapids, IA. He is survived by his two sisters, Jean Ann Allen of Ft. Worth, TX, Lena Naus of Sherriville, IN and by one nephew Major John Martinko of College Station, TX.

He is preceded in death by his father.
