Rose Lovetinsky, 93

Rose M. Lovetinsky, 93, of Silver Pines Assisted Living & Retirement Community, Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, March 16, 2006, at the center following a short illness. Services are at 3 p.m. today at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Iowa City, at a later date. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Survivors include three nieces, Marie (Larry) Sears of Anaheim, California, Jean (Keith) Coffman of South English, Iowa, and Joan (Richard) Grenko of Iowa City; ten great nieces and nephews; and 22 great great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Frances; and her sister, Clara Stahle of Iowa City.

Rose was born April 14, 1912, in Sugar Bottom in Johnson County, the daughter of William and Frances (Krall) Lovetinsky. She graduated from Solon High School in 1930 and Irish's Business College in Iowa City. In 1936, she moved to Cedar Rapids and worked at Quaker Oats for 38 years, retiring in 1974. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Quaker Oats Retirees, and a charter member of the Women of the Moose No. 109 in Iowa City.
