Thank you for responding, Verda. I do not have any idea who Lucille Carey is. She could be a descendent of Clarissa Parrish or simply someone interested in the history of the area.

I am a descendent of one of Clarissa's older sisters who married a Bedwell.

I am hoping to find out more information about the alleged murder of Clarissa's husband, Samuel A. Carter. If there is someone you know who might have access to the local newspaper of the time (circa 1854), please let me know. Thank you!
