How did you determine that Anton's first wife was Maria Kosowski? Do you have sources other than the cemetery records? Sophia was my grandmothers sister. Sophia moved to Ottumwa in early 1900's and my grandmother in with her in 1918 to find work in Ottumwa.

It would appear that a group must have immigrated to Chicago first then to Iowa. I still have found no immigration records, anything indicating where they were from in Poland. My grandmother had said they were from a town in Prussia occupied Poland ( meaning the western third). Anton 's second wife was a Gluch which indicates she may have been a german descendent from germanville. They may all have been from the same area of Prussia/Poland and moved here en mass.
