Hi Verda,
Thanks for looking so far! As I said, Mary Ann Bivins first husband was George CAROLUS...that is the actual spelling of his name, although it has been corrupted several ways on documents:(carlos,crowless,crolis,crolus,etc.)He is in the 1856 census of Jefferson Co.,Liberty Twp., as George Carolus. So, unless a person is searching for that spelling, or one of the others, it will be missed.
Mary Ann Bivins Carolus married Jacob Lawton on 08/16/1859, Van Buren Co., IA.(The Carolus name is corrupted there as "Crowless.") She married Jeremiah A. Hughes on 06/09/1864, Putnam Co., MO. They are then in Schuyler Co., MO in 1870 and 1880. I will send family sheets to your snail mail. Mary Ann had children with all 3 of her husbands.
I would like to correspond with the person in Alaska, that would be great!
If you can't find George Carolus in death, divorce or cemetery records under that name, or one of the others, I would still like to have the Noah Bivins family sheet copy.
