Thanks Verda for answering my query.

I need documentation for NSDAR to prove John & Nancy (Flippen) Harris were parents of Samuel Merida Harris AND then proof of relationship of Samuel Merida to Nancy (Harris) Coop. Is there anyone that I could contact for such documentation?

I have looked at Samuel's estate papers that Richard Thompson emailed to me, which listed his widow, Margaret, a presumed son named Samuel T.[Turner] Harris, and perhaps a son-in-law, John Haymond.

I am wondering how I can find the deeds to his land that he owned at time of his death? I'm thinking that children would have to sign off on any deeds selling the acreage - I realize this could have been much later than 1849.

Thanks so much for any help. Hope the farmers' crops in your area aren't burning up from all this heat we are having.
