Yes it was pretty gorry. Big articles in the July of 1860 Fairfield Ledger tells of his demeese. How he killed almost a whole family and stole their money and goods. He was caught and put in jail but people got him out of jail. beat him and then mdae him climb a ladder to be hung. This was called justice. It all happened at Chatauqua Park and his body was thrown in a ditch. Don't know if he was ever buried in a cemetery or not. Was never mentioned. Full newspaper info can be found at ancestry.com and probably the library in Fairfield.
