As corresp secy for Jefferson Co Gen Society I can tell you from the Civil War book that Armstrong hill was born in l820 in PA. William who is buried here died of measles. and his papers said born in Iowa. No county, just Iowa.
And probably not married.....????
When Josephine Hill was married at age l9 born in l852 signing for her was James A Hill

Where in the world was the Armstrong Hill family in l860 census....not in Jefferson County. Can you share a family sheet on Armstrong for our growing collection? Have you sent for his Civil War papers? Where did the Duncans move to?
