Looked up Louden information, but kinda hit a
dead end. R. B. Louden Sr. l857-1939 was the
first paying student at Parsons College in
Fairfield Iowa. Parsons opened its doors l875

Robert B. Louden Jr. l885 - 1951 is age group of
Clifford I. Thoma l889 - l958

Did you check the l905 Fairfield City census on our web site for the Carrol surname?

There were no City directories for every year
back then. I know there is a 1912 one, but by 1910 you found A.B.in Chicago area census.

So it narrows it down to his connection with the
Fairfield Daily Journal sometime from when it
was established in l904 to 1909. I no longer do
research at courthouse as I cannot lift the big
grantee/grantor land records to see if A. B.
Carroll owned any home or rented and what years.
