Dear Bettie:

Charles Negus l8l5-1877 and wife Martha 1815-1895 are in Evergreen Cemetery. He was a prominent citizen and in 27 years of answering letters in Jefferson County only.....no one has ever made inquiry about the man. A son Lyman was buried on the same lot.

The book "A Fairfield" has 27 pages with reference to Charles Negus = my fee for research is minimum to come 9 miles to town.....2.50
then 25 cents per page to copy....plus postage of l.75 to mail.

As for obits, newspapers are on microfilm and library charges 50 cents per print and I charge $l.50 each to look them up....total $2.00 each

Are you a descendant? If so, we would like a family sheet on them for our bulging collection here at the library.
