I live 2 miles south of Union Cemetery, Lockridge
township, JEFFERSON County, Iowa. Inscriptions were
copied back in l969 and published in book form in
the Fairfield Library In Volume #7.
Mercy's stone says wife of W. Howard Died April 16
1861 age 87 years.
She is buried beside her son in Law Eli Skeers.

There have been 7 researchers over the past 32 yrs
that I have answered letters for the local genie
society, all desc. from Willard and Mercy. The
information on number of children is 8, but of
course there is no son Willard even listed. So
that will be welcome addition.
