Willard Howard

My husband is trying to locate where his great-great-great-great
grandfather is buried. Willard Howard, (b) 1782 (d) 31 Aug 1840 Fort
Madison, Lee, Iowa. He was married to (Mary) Mercy Toothaker (b)
1783 (d) 16 Apr 1864 in Lockridge, Wapello, Iowa. The birth and
death (except for (d) 16 Apr) years on Mercy's headstone notes on
Find A Grave are different that what I found in my search, but I am
sure this is Willard Howard's wife.

They moved from Maine to Iowa and had 14 children. From what I found on Ancestry all the children were born in Maine.

Their son Willard T. moved back to Maine and that is where the rest of my husband's family stayed. If you or you know of anyone else that would like information on the Howards in Maine, please click on this link.
