Thanks, Mary, for the info about the Family Group Sheets in the library. I provided the info to them and am aware of the birth record you cite. This child was later adopted by William Adams. I've searched the Evergreen Cemetery but have found no info on either the Hamptons or Adams. So little seems to be found in the court house records I want to check newspapers for any mention of what may have happened to Clara HAMPTON after her husband died in 1882. I found one short announcement in late 1882 that her house was being sold for taxes. I don't know anything more about her.
I do appreciate your replying to my query.
