Fred Edward HAMPTON, born 9 Feb 1879 in Iowa, registered for WW I draft in Bavaria, Jefferson Co. IA. He said he was 39 yrs. old and worked as a railroad Brakeman. He indicated only a friend, Pearl Brown (probably male) as his "nearest relative". Don't know if he actually had to go to into military or not. This was WW I registration which was a requirement of all able bodied men. Is there a list of Jefferson Co. IA men who were in the military?

Can anyone tell me anything more about him? I know an "Edward Hampton" was born to Levi and Clara Hampton c. 1879 in Fairfield, Jefferson Co. IA. His name appears as a one yr. old on 1880 census. Is this "Fred Edward"?

I'd appreciate any information, either on "Fred Edward Hampton" or "Edward Hampton"; also anything about the mother, Clara Hampton after c. 1882 the last date I can find her in Jefferson Co.
