GEORGE WALKER DIES AT BATAVIA

Funeral For Life Long Resident of County Will Be Held Tuesday

George M. (sic - George W.) WALKER passed away Saturday night at 9:30 oclock at his home in Batavia, Iowa at the age of 70 years.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 oclock from the Christain (sic - Christian) church at Batavia in charge of Rev. B. W. Petitt assisted by Rev. Oral Walker. Interment will be made in the new Batavia cemetery.

Mr. WALKER had been a life long resident of this county having been engaged in the grain and stock buying business in Batavia for over 30 years and was widely known. He was a life long member of the Batavia Christain (sic - Christian) church and a member of A. F. and A. M. No. 198 lodge of Batavia, which will have charge of the services at the grave. He was also a member of the Batavia Commercial club. Besides his wife, he is survived by two children, Mrs. Perry KRAMER of Sigourney and Fred WALKER of Belknab (sic - Belknap), also one sister Mrs. Madge HAVENER of Kansas City, 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
