Susan HITE SNYDER, born Apr. 13, 1836, in Washington Co., Va., came to Iowa with her parents about age nine years; married Wm. SNYDER Sept. 7, 1856, at Brookville, Iowa. Home was at Brookville until death of the husband in 1901.

Ten children, eight sons and two daughters: David of Colorado, Henry of Ollie, Iowa; Randolph of Batavia, Jacob of Calif., John and Wm. deceased, James of Calif., Mary of Memphis, Mo., Berton of Calif., Harriet of Batavia, Iowa. Methodist Church.

Leaves six sons and two daughters, several grandchildren and grgrchn, one sister Mrs. Nancy BALDRIDGE of Batavia. Died at the home of her daughter Mrs. Hattie HEADY, age 84-5-23.... Interment Brooks Cem.
