Jay D. SHERMAN, 65, longtime resident of Jefferson County, died Fri. in Fairfield. Behner Funeral Home. Burial is to be in Batavia Cemetery.

Born Sept. 2, 1905, in Keosaqua, son of Archie and Mamie PEARSON SHERMAN. Survived by brothers and sisters: Ralph SHERMAN, Stronghurst, Ill.; Mrs. Lena WALKER, Bloomfield; Phillip SHERMAN, Pulaski; Mrs. Dorothy NORTON, Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. Nellie DIERS, Macomb. Ill.; and Mrs. Virginia MASON, Macomb.
