All members of the W.R.C. are requested to meet Wednesday afternoon, June 7, at 1:45 o'clock promptly at the First Christian church to attend the funeral services of Mrs. Vern CAUGHLAN.

Mrs. Vern CAUGHLAN passed away last evening at 10:45 at her home, 501 East Lowe Street. She had been ill for the past two years and confined to bed for about a year.
She is survived by her husband, Vern CAUGHLAN (sic – Willis Vern), and the following children: Robert of Cleveland, O.; Don CAUGHLAN, Fire Control 1-C, and Dick CAUGHLAN, Storekeeper 2-C, both on duty in the Atlantic; Jack CAUGHLAN, Storekeeper, 2-C, stationed in Sitka, Alaska; Marian, Charles, David and Tommy, all at home. Also surviving are her mother, Mrs. Henry KOONS, Britt, Ia.; three sisters Mrs. Ralph SUTHERLIN, Batavia; Mrs. Leonard FRESCOLN, Fairfield; and Mrs. Floyd HARMON, Eldon; and one grandson, Bobby CAUGHLAN, Jr., Cleveland, O.
She was preceded in death by one son, Larry, who died November 9, 1942; and by her father, Henry KOONS, who passed away on May 28, 1943.
Grace (sic – Leona Grace) KOONS CAUGHLAN was born December 25, 1898 at Cross Lanes, near Batavia, and had lived most of her life in Jefferson county. She was a graduate of the Batavia high school and attended Parsons college.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 at the First Christian Church, in charge of S. P. Williamson, pastor. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery. Friends may call at the Hoskins funeral home. The body will be taken to the church at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

A full attendance is urged.

Public Notice is Hereby Given:
That the undersigned has this day been appointed and commissioned by the District Court of Jefferson County, in the State of Iowa, administrator of the estate of Grace CAUGHLAN, Deceased.
All persons having claims against said estate are hereby notified to file them with the Clerk of said court, clearly stated and duly sworn to, and within legal time, preparatory to their being allowed or proved, and persons owing said estate are requested to make immediate payment to the undersigned and avoid costs.
Dated at Fairfield, Iowa, this 15th day of June, A. D. 1944.
