Vincent A. GEVOCK died Monday night at Washington County hospital. Born at Pleasant Plain May 31, 1900, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas GEVOCK; married Mary FRAZEN Sept. 10, 1924; she survives with a son, George GEVOCK of Brighton, a daughter Mrs. Bernard SCHMITT of Harper, and four grandchildren. Four brothers also survive: Frank of Pleasant Plain; Alex of Washington; Thomas, Muscatine; and Adam of Los Angeles, Calif. His parents and six brothers preceded him in death. Former railroad man and more recently a farmer.

Funeral Services For V.A. GEVOCK, Brighton

BRIGHTON -- Vincent A. GEVOCK, 58, died yesterday in the Washington County Hospital where he had been a patient several weeks.

Mr. GEVOCK, a longtime employee of the Rock Island railroad, recently had been farming.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, East Pleasant Plain. Rev. Henry Degeers will officiate. Interment will be in St. Joseph's cemetery.

The rosary will be recited for Mr. GEVOCK at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Gould and Eden funeral home here. It will be immediately followed by a K. C. rosary.

He was born at Pleasant Plain, May 31, 1900, to Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas GEVOCK.

Mr. GEVOCK married Mary FRANZEN, Sept. 10, 1924.

Survivors include his wife; one son, George of Brighton; a daughter, Mrs. Bernard SCHMITT, Harper; four grandchildren; and four brothers, Frank, Pleasant Plain, Alix, Wayland, Thomas, Muscatine and Adam of Los Angeles, Calif.
