MR. NICK GEVOCK SUCCUMBS TUESDAY AT EAST PLEASANT PLAIN. Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph’s at 9:30 a. m. today. MR. NICK GEVOCK, age 77, passed away Tuesday morning at his home in East Pleasant Plain about 7 o’clock. He had celebrated his 77th birthday on the 8th of November….MR. GEVOCK was born in Germany. He came here about 34 years ago and had been in this community ever since. He quit the section, retired in May, 1891. Surviving to honor his memory are his wife and the following children: ALEX and VINCE of Pleasant Plain, FRANK of Washington, JOE of near Brighton, ADAM of Gatt, Calif., ANDREW and NICK of Moline, Ill.; THOMAS at Muscatine, and IGNUS of Moline, Ill. Funeral services were to be held this morning at 9:30 o’clock at the St. Joseph’s church at East Pleasant Plain. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
