DEATH OF AN OLD CITIZEN. Nathaniel Loomis, one of the early settlers of Jefferson County, came to this county in 1839 or 1840 and settled five miles south of Fairfield, where he lived until four years ago, when he removed to Seymour, Wayne County. He died yesterday afternoon, July 5th, at the age of 84 years. His remains will be brought here this afternoon and interred at Maple Hill, Birmingham. Mr. Loomis was one of the good old men, whom everybody esteemed and honored.
