SENS, MITTEN, HARPER, FLECK, GOUGHNOUR

David Sens, who has resided in Jefferson County since August 1839, died at his home in this city Sunday night, in the 84th year of his age. Deceased was born near Baltimore, Maryland, July 11, 1810, and grew to manhood in that locality. July 8, 1832, he was married to Dulcy Ann Mitten who died in this city only a few months ago. Eleven children, eight of whom are now living – D. N. and Mrs. W. O. Harper in this county; Mrs. Fleck at Kirksville, Mo.; Louis at Milan, Mo.; George at Seymour; Mrs. Jane Goughnour in Mont.; Charles in Kansas; Frank in Idaho. Mr. Sens came to this county a few months after the town of Fairfield was located. For nearly a third of a century he resided on a farm between this city and Libertyville and then removed here…..
