Graveside Rites For Mrs. ALFRED

Graveside services will be held in Evergreen Cemetery at 2 p.m. Thursday for Mrs. James ALFRED, former resident of Fairfield who died at the Memorial Hospital in Mount Pleasant Tuesday (note: in Henry Co., IA).

She died at the Memorial Hospital in Mount Pleasant where she had beenaa patient for the past week. Mrs. ALFRED had made her home in Mount Pleasant with her son, William, for the past several years.

Jennie ALFRED, 86, was born Dec. 1, 1881, near Batavia, the daughter of Robert and Sarah ARMSTRONG. She was married to James ALFRED who was a barber in Fairfield for many years prior to his death.

Mrs. ALFRED is survived by her son in Mount Pleasant; a brother Elmer ARMSTRONG, and a sister Mrs. Albert SAUER, both of Fairfield.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Asher, and a daughter who died in infancy.
