Mrs. James T. HUGHES, 206 East Jefferson street, passed away this morning at 6:30 oclock after being in ill health for several weeks. The body was brought to the Hoskins funeral home.
The funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday from the Hoskins funeral home.
Mrs. HUGHES was formerly Miss Nina McWHIRTER, the daughter of John and Catherine McWHIRTER and she was born Oct. 30, 1864, on a farm south of this city.
She resided in St. Joseph, Mo., for a number of years where she held a position as a court reporter. She was united in marriage Aug. 9, 1912 to James T. HUGHES, who survives. She also leaves three sisters. Mrs. J. M. CALHOUN of this city, Mrs. George ALLEN of near Ottumwa and Mrs. J. Egbert ALLAN of St. Louis, Mo. Her parents and a sister, Mrs. J. C. McDONALD and a brother, Glen McWHIRTER have preceded her in death. She also leaves several nieces and two nephews. She was a member of the Christian church.

To All Whom It May Concern:
Notice is hereby given that an instrument, purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Nina HUGHES, Deceased, is now on file in the office of the Clerk of the District Court of Jefferson county, and that Friday, September 12, A. D. 1930 at 2 oclock p.m., has been set for proof and final hearing of same.
Witness my hand and the seal of said Court this 19 day of Aug. 1930.
