Bonaparte woman killed

BONAPARTE -- An 18-year-old Bonaparte woman was killed and a 17-year-old man was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 4:35 p.m. Sunday on County Road W40 one mile north of Bonaparte.

Jessica Lynn Warner was killed, and Corry M. Richardson, whose address was not provided by the Iowa State Patrol, was injured.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, Warner was driving a 1985 Chevrolet Celebrity north on W40. Her car crossed the centerline and collided with the southbound 1983 GMC pickup driven by Richardson. Both vehicles were completely in the southbound lane at impact. Both came to rest at the impact location.

According to the Van Buren County Hospital administration office, it is against the law for the hospital to give out any information about patients.

The funeral for Warner will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Bonaparte United Church. Open visitation will begin after noon Tuesday at Hofbauer-Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Farmington, with family present from 5-8 p.m.
