Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Oliver HOLDERNESS, 69, who died at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Omaha, Neb.
A former resident of the Fairfield Community, the body will be brought to the Weston Behner Funeral home for last rites and burial.

Mrs. Oliver HOLDERNESS, 69, of Millard, Neb., former Jefferson County resident, died Sunday afternoon enroute to the Methodist Hospital in Omaha. Death was caused by a heart attack. She had been in failing health for several years.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m., at the Weston Behner Funeral Home. The Rev. Paul Ellis of the Chariton First United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Marie WALTERS HOLDERNESS was born March 21, 1889 (sic - 1899) at Iowa City, the daughter of Charles and Alberta SARTAIN WALTERS. She was married April 2, 1916 to Oliver HOLDERNESS who preceded her in death on Sept. 12, 1967. The couple lived for 26 years on a farm six miles northwest of Fairfield. After they moved from Fairfield, they lived in Chariton. Mrs. HOLDERNESS moved to Millard about six months ago.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, one son and one daughter. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Willard JOHNSON of Millard, Neb., three grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Bess FOURIER, Huntington Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Sylvia MANN, Bellevue, Wash.

Among the relatives and friends here to attend the funeral service for Mrs. Oliver HOLDERNESS of Millard, Neb., on Friday afternoon were her sister, Mrs. Bess FOURNIER of Huntington Beach, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Everett Brown, Mrs. Ethel Doyel, Mrs. Delbert Flynn and Kenneth Kenny all of Riverside, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Dailey of Ottumwa, Mrs. Everett Hildebrand of New London and Mr. and Mrs. Willard JOHNSON, Dennis, Robert and Linda of Millard, Nebr.
