Oliver HOLDERNESS, 78, former Jefferson County farmer, died early today at Lucas County Memorial Hospital in Chariton.
HOLDERNESS made his home in Jefferson County for 26 years.
Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. Paul Ellis. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Last rites for Oliver HOLDERNESS, 78, former Jefferson County farmer, will be held Thursday at the Weston Behner Funeral Home.
HOLDERNESS died Tuesday at the Lucas County Hospital in Chariton. He farmed northwest of Fairfield for 26 years before moving to Chariton.
Services will be conducted by the Rev. Paul Ellis of Chariton. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
HOLDERNESS was born March 1, 1889 at Iowa City, the son of John and Minnie WESTPHAL HOLDERNESS. He was married to Marie WALTERS April 2, 1916.
Surviving are his widow, one daughter, Mrs. Willard JOHNSON, Millard, Neb.; three grandchildren; one brother, John HOLDERNESS, Thousand Palms, Calif.; and one sister, Mrs. Leona BROWN, Riverside.
