Services For Prominent Citizen To Be Thursday At 2:30 p.m.Harrison C. HOAGLAND, 83, prominent Fairfield citizen, passed away at 1:30 a.m. today at his home at 302 S. Third street, following a long illness.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:30 at the Free Methodist church, in charge of Rev. G. F. Tackett. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. Behner and Dudgeon Funeral directors are in charge of arrangements.

Page EIGHT, Columns 6, 7, and 8FUNERAL SERVICES FOR H. C. HOAGLAND HELD HERE THURSDAY
Funeral services were held yesterday at 2:30 p.m., in the Free Methodist church for Harrison C. HOAGLAND, prominent Fairfield citizen who passed away early this week. Music was furnished by a quartet which included John McIntire, Mrs. Harold Harrison, Mrs. Paul Phillips and Wesley Hamm.
Pall bearers were Floyd Lynn, J. W. STALLMAN, Neale STALLMAN, Milo Quackenbush, Fred STALLMAN and Sam Smith. Rev. G. F. Tackett was in charge of the services, and arrangements were by Behner & Dudgeon, funeral directors.
Employees of the Fair Department Store, of which Mr. HOAGLAND's daughter, Mrs. Berta ALLENDER is manager of the ready-to-wear section, attended the funeral in a body.
Burial was in Evergreen cemetery.

Harrison C. HOAGLAND was born in Linn county, May 3, 1854. When still a child his family moved to Jefferson county near Fairfield, where he grew to manhood.
He was united in marriage to Sarah WOODSIDE on September 30, 1874. He and his family moved to Kansas, Jewell County, in the year 1877, returning to Fairfield in 1895. Six children were born to this union, three of whom survive. Sarah WOODSIDE HOAGHLAND (sic), his wife, passed away on March 28, 1924, just six months before they were to have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
On September 2, 1925, he was united with Mary MARSHALL of Fairbault, Minnesota.
Mr. HOAGLAND was an active church member in the Free Methodist Church, where he was Superintendent of the Sunday School for 21 years, treasurer 13 years, 2 years a class leader and a delegate to conference a number of years.
He was a wonderful christian man--beloved and respected by all who knew him. His loss will be greatly felt by all his family and friends.
Those surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mary HOAGLAND, and three daughters, Mrs. E. L. ALLENDER, Mrs. Laura VAN TASSELL, Mrs. Clarnce D. HOUGH, one sister, Mrs. W. A. STALLMAN, four grandchildren.
Funeral services were condcted from the Free Methodist Church by their pastor, G. F. Tackett.
Interment was made in the Evergreen cemetery.
