MRS. CHARLES HISEL DIED OF PNEUMONIA SUNDAY MORNING

Mrs. Charles HISEL passed away Sunday morning at her home about seven miles northwest of Fairfield, after a ten days illness of Spanish influenza and pneumonia.

Jessie Gertrude (sic - Gertrude Mae) CALDWELL HISEL was born Feb. 12th, 1876 at Brookville. She was united in marriage the sixth of March, 1911 (sic - March 8, 1911), to Charles E. HISEL, and to this union were born two children, Bernice six years old and Louise five years old. She is also survived by one stepson Leonard HISEL.

She is also survived by one sister Mrs. Roll IRELAND of this city and one brother Harold CALDWELL of Tucumcari, New Mexico.

When twelve years of age she united with the Presbyterian church. Later she united with the Methodist church.

Mrs. HISEL was also a member of the Wesleyan Bible Class of the First Methodist church.

The funeral services were held this afternoon at two-thirty o'clock at Evergreen cemetery, in charge of Rev. C. L. Tennant.

HISEL.

Another death from pneumonia following influenza was that of Mrs. Charles HISEL, which occurred Sunday at the HISEL home seven miles northwest of Fairfield.

Jessie Gertrude (sic) CALDWELL was born February 12, 1876, at Brookville and died in her 43d year of life. On March 6, 1911 (sic), she was united in marriage to Charles E. HISEL, who with two small daughters, Bernice, age 6, and Louise, age 5, are left to mourn the loss of a fond mother's care. One step son, Leonard HISEL, also survives. Other immediate relatives are a sister, Mrs. Roll IRELAND, this city, and a brother, Harold CALDWELL, of New Mexico.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Evergreen cemetery in charge of Rev. C. L. Tennant of the Methodist church of which deceased was a member.

Note: Buried in Lot 2nd.094. She was first married to Glenn McWHIRTER, who died in 1910. The confusion between Gertrude Mae and Jessie Gertrude was from Charles' marriages; Gertrude was his second wife and Jessie was his third.
